Student Code of Conduct

At the Gen-Z Tech Accelerator, we do not treat you like traditional students; we treat you like startup founders. With that elite status comes a high level of responsibility, discipline, and execution.

To maintain your seat in this incubator, you must adhere strictly to the following Code of Conduct:

1. The Hardware Protocol

RESPECT THE INFRASTRUCTURE

You are working with enterprise-grade technology.

  • Laptops, power stations, and 5G routers must be handled with the utmost care.
  • Food and liquids are strictly prohibited near the development terminals.
  • Any attempt to bypass system security, install unauthorized software, or alter the core settings of the provided laptops will result in immediate dismissal.

2. The Execution Mindset

PUNCTUALITY & ATTENDANCE

Startups move fast; so do our sprints.

  • You are expected to arrive at the Mobile Tech Lab at least 15 minutes before the daily sprint begins.
  • Chronic lateness or unexcused absences disrupt your Tech Squad's workflow and will not be tolerated. If you are absent for more than two consecutive days without a valid medical excuse, you may be removed from your squad.

3. The Enterprise Network Policy

Our 5G network is provisioned for cloud compilation, Figma design, and software research.

  • Using the Accelerator's network to access inappropriate, explicit (NSFW), or illegal content is a severe violation and will trigger an automatic expulsion from the program.
  • Heavy personal streaming (e.g., Netflix, unauthorized YouTube content) that drains bandwidth during sprint hours is prohibited.

4. Team Dynamics

COLLABORATION & RESPECT

Tech is a team sport. The 48-Hour Hackathon cannot be won alone.

  • We enforce a"Zero-Tolerance Policy" for bullying, discrimination, harassment, or the use of derogatory language toward peers, facilitators, or corporate guests.
  • Disagreements on app design or code are expected, but they must be handled professionally and constructively. Sabotaging a teammate's work will lead to immediate removal from the Demo Day lineup.

5. The Consequence Framework

Failure to uphold the Founder's Protocol will result in the following escalation:

  1. Strike One: A verbal warning from the Project Manager and a documented coaching session.
  2. Strike Two: A formal escalation to the school proprietor/proprietress.
  3. Strike Three: Immediate expulsion from the Gen-Z Tech Accelerator without a tuition refund, and a forfeiture of any Hackathon prizes.
